BOOKMATCHED pair of cast iron Hessian Fireplace Andirons. Each depicting a marching soldier in uniform, standing in semi-profile, gripping a sword. Thought to have been inspired by the strong dislike of the mercenaries brought to the country by the British during the American Revolution.
What makes these incredibly special is that they are *looking at one another, as if they are working together* There is a left and a right figure.
