This beautiful vase is made of thick clear … Read more Signed mid-century modern glass vase by Mona Morales-Schildt for Kosta, Sweden, 1950s. This beautiful vase is made of thick clear glass with some nice optic effects. The vase is from the “Ventana” series, which Mona Morales-Schildt is best known for. Her designs are seemingly simple but there is a complexity in the way light refracts within the crystal and on the surfaces of the vase. Signed: "Kosta | SS 5333" (see pictures). Height: 19.5 cm / 7.7''; width: 11 cm / 4.3''; depth: 7.5 cm / 3''. Weight: 2.1 kg. Excellent vintage condition.

Mona Morales-Schildt was one of Sweden’s leading glass artists of the 20th century. She was a prominent designer of cased art glass with strong colors and optic effects. Her artistry is represented at the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design. This piece has an attribution mark,
