Signature: Schneider at the dry tip.
Charles Schneider enters the glassware of Auguste and Antonin Daum at Nancy at the age of 16, he followed courses at the Paris School of Fine Arts.
Some time after the death of their master Auguste Daum, he left the company with his brother Ernest to take over a glassware in Épinay-sur-Seine in 1913. In 1914, it was general mobilization, difficult time for the company.
However, they are demobilized with mission to produce medical glassware \.
The factory resumes. In 1918, it was converted into art glassware.
Tireless creators. Beginning in an Art Nouveau style, they set up a personal creation characterized by very bright colors, powerful, contrasting with cobalt bruises, poppy orange, water green matches with naturalistic and stylized patterns in the Art Deco spirit of the interwar period.
Well broadcast to the United States through two Schneider and Charder commercial lines, for the high-end and French glass, the second line, the factory turns at full speed and grows.
In 1925, it employs up to 500 glassmakers! But the 1929 crisis put an end to this adventure which lasted 15 years.
