A stunning silver gelatin print, titled Georgia O’Keefe, signed on the bottom left by Armenian artist Yousuf Karsh. Photographed in 1956. This is a regal portrait of Georgia O’Keefe, depicting her in a contemplative pose. The light coming through the window that illuminates her profile makes an impactful and powerful composition. Yousuf Karsh (1908-2002) was an Armenian-Canadian photographer known for his portraits of notable individuals. He has been described as one of the greatest portrait photographers of the 20th century. An Armenian genocide survivor, Karsh migrated to Canada as a refugee.
