The Fletcher Aviation Desk is a large triangular shaped desk - reminiscent of an airplane wing - in a Moderne Art Deco Style. This desk is made from walnut with maple trim, displaying curved corners and floating on a black metal base. Five side drawers flank a middle top drawer, with two additional pull-out writing shelves on either side. All original handle hardware (with gold Bakelite accents) and wood, the desk was professionally refinished in 2021.
This desk is believed to be one of the earlier versions prior to the design's patent issuance in 1945. Frank Fletcher, one of three brothers who founded Fletcher Aviation, originally designed the desk fit in corners at their offices in Pasadena, California. Made in Pasadena, California.
