Fabricated wood, formed into an abstracted monolithic shape. Decorated with squares of silver-leaf under clear lacquer, in the Asian style. Signed with raised letters “OLEG CASSINI” on a gilded brass plaque set into the bottom. A stunning example of Cassini’s design in the decorative arts. Examples of this vase are scarce.
