Decorative rim lock mechanism made of solid mahogany and brass. The brass hardware is all-original and includes a handle that doubles as a knocker which also turns the key mechanism. The key escutcheon is centered in a heart motif and there are fanciful embellishments on either side. This was purchased years ago from a Norman castle in Ireland. The last images show the lock taken apart. See measurements below.
