Venetian Style Pâte de Verre glass metal caged lantern pendant light, France, 1970s. Impressive and large hand-blown Pâte de Verre glass lantern in orange and dark blue tones formed within a decorative metal cage. The different shapes of the glass indicate the handwork of the glass masters. Well suited for a porch or hallway, the caged lantern looks beautiful as well lit as unlit. Dimensions: height: 80 cm / 31.5 in; diameter: circa 31 cm / 12.2 in. One new socket for E 27 (E 26) size light bulb. The glass is in good condition and formed in two parts to enable a change of bulb. The lantern is in good condition with slight signs of aging and use.
