It is from the Detroit … Read more This solid walnut accent chair is a hand-carved French piece that dates to the 1920s. It is from the Detroit estate of a hostess, who once threw storied parties. But this piece could just as easily be found in an elegant Montecito home with its neutral palette, warm walnut frame and classic French lines. In fact, it has a very current, up-to-the-moment feel.

It's in fantastic condition for its age, with a structurally sound frame. It feels like a new chair when seated. It's covered in a custom hand-done needlepoint flower motif, made of 100% wool.

In the detail image above, showing the back of the chair (upper left side), you will see there are some spots on the wood frame. This is the only place on the chair where there are any imperfections. It is important to note that these can be cleared up easily with wood cleaner and polish. See less
