A delightful, little bright orange red bowl identified as the Red Sugar Bowl, and though often misidentified to other potteries, is.from the kilns of Cameron Clay Products .
3 1/4 inches at highest:
5 inches at widest -handle to handle:
2 inches wide at opening:
2 1/2 inches wide across base.
One side shows more kiln burn/smoke darkening than the other.
This Red Sugar Bowl is from Cameron Clay Products. This version has no lid and the glaze is red. It has been speculated by a CCP worker that it may have received the smoke clouds from having survived the '64 Cameron Clay Factory fire as most Red Sugar Bowls are not clouded in this manner. It has been washed.
Another treasure kept for its singular form and color, from the collected Outsider Artist Betty Milliken.. less
