This large Dansk solid teak bowl was designed by Jens Quistgaard. The Dansk brand is noted on the bottom of the bowl. It is made of staved wood, and has a curved bottom.
The bowl is large and heavy and can accommodate a lot of food, whether it is fruit, salad or other holiday offerings. It is approximately 6.75” high and approximately 10” across. The opening is approximately 8.5” across. At the widest, the bowl is approximately 11” wide.
The bowl is in good preowned condition, with minor marks, consistent with age and use. I do not know the exact age of the bowl, however, it is approximately 50-60 years old. Please refer to the pictures. Wood can dry out over time and needs to be oiled periodically. Food grade mineral oil can be applied to the surface.
