The painting is 16 inches tall by 20 inches wide. The framed size is 20 inches tall by 24 inches wide and is beautifully framed in a wide gold tone frame.. Monet painted at Giverny, I paint in rural Missouri, in the foot hills of the Ozarks. I have painted here for many years and spend part of my summer in an old 1930s cabin. We sleep on the large screened porch next to the beautiful Indian Creek. This painting is a view of the drive that comes into the clearing of the cabin. There is a field beyond the trees, then eventually the road. It isn't a barrier, but it is secluded because of the distance. While we seek out friends and family, many want to put some distance between ourselves and the world. This painting is on stretched canvas. The painting is signed on the lower left.

Marina Movshina is an American artist known for landscape painting, and for her illustrations of children’s books, as well as her botanicals. Her paintings have been selected for the exhibition of distinguished alumni at Carnegie-Mellon’s Centennial Celebration of its College of Fine Art, the Logan Center at the University of Chicago and the Harlin Museum in West Plains, MO. An elected artist member of the American Artists’ Professional League, New York, NY, she is admired for her skill as a painter and draftsman in the handling of space, depiction of light, and expert use of color. She received a B.F.A. from Carnegie-Mellon University and studied at the Art Students’ League, New York, NY, Washington University, St. Louis, MO, and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago, IL. Marina lives in St. Louis, MO.
