This is an original set of 5 brushed aluminum (anodized finish) Emeco Hudson counter stools designed by Philippe Starck. They have held up beautifully over the years retaining their original finish and normal patina. They were sporadically used and remained indoors. The Emeco standard of production is visible and manufactured using recycled aluminum.(The stools retail new for $1510)
The Hudson, designed for the Hudson Hotel in NYC, is Emeco and Starck's first collaboration. Starck described the chair as "washing the details from the Navy Chair" he designed. It takes an additional 8 hours to polish each Hudson chair/stool. Hudson is in MoMa's permanent collection. less
