This Henri Matisse rare vintage 1946 limited edition French fine art lithograph print " Nature Morte Sur Table Marbre " 1941, is an incredibly special and unique piece to add to add to your collection.
The fine art lithograph print is printed in France in 1946 by Les Editions Du Chene Paris, as part of a French portfolio of limited edition Matisse lithograph prints titled " Matisse peintures 1939 - 1946 ". The vintage lithograph print features an artwork image originally created by Matisse in 1941 titled " Nature Morte Sur Table Marbre " ( Still Life on Marble Table ).
Henri Matisse ( 1869 - 1954 ) The French born artist is known for both his sense of color and fluid aesthetic. Matisse is commonly regarded, along with Picasso as one of the most important artists who helped to define and influence radical Contemporary Art of The Twentieth Century. His mastery of the expressive language of color and drawing won him recognition as a leading figure in world Modern Art. Artworks by Matisse are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.
The lithograph print plate image measures 8 5/8" W X 10 1/4" H, on a page that is 11" W X 14 7/8" H. The print is attached to the page with a method called " tipping " where it is attached by hand on the top edge. Behind the print plate on the page is the title, date and size of the original artwork.
The rare out of print limited edition French lithograph print is in excellent vintage condition consistent with age and light signs of handling to the page backing. It has never been framed. Please see phots for condition reference. It is now being offered here for an excellent price.
