- You will find the vintage set in very good condition overall. It’s believed the set is from American maker Wakefield-Heywood. … moreYou will find the vintage set in very good condition overall. It’s believed the set is from American maker Wakefield-Heywood. It’s very sturdy construction. The wicker is in very good condition with only some slight sag on the chair in a couple places that don’t really show. Both pieces are very sturdy. We found only three broken horizontal wicker strands that were less than 1” and very minor, consistent with age and use. The upholstery has only slight surface wear consistent with age and use. It appears the set has been painted brown in its history. Wakefield-Haywood released a set in white. less

Vintage Home is pleased to present this Art Nouveau Style Vintage Wicker Sofa and Chair set. This set has no maker mark, but was attributed to Heywood-Wakefield in the Estate Sale documents. The set has been updated in its past. We believe the set was originally white because Heywood-Wakefield released a white version of this style. This set has been re-painted a rich brown. The seats have also been re-upholstered some time in the past with a striking Art Nouveau neutral colored cotton fabric that features Elephant Leaves. The fabric is suitable for both inside or out, as long as it’s under a covered patio. There are circular back cushion pillows in the same fabric. The overall design is stylish and chic.
