Each bookend is made of painted wood lined with green felt on the bottom and inside walls and and trimmed out with synthetic boat rigging. This is a substantial set of bookends being both large and weighty. Therefore, they can easily accommodate larger, thicker books. See photos.

A lot of artistry went into the design of this gorgeous set, which is sure to make a dramatic décor statement in any home - coastal or otherwise. It is in excellent vintage condition with only minor, age-appropriate wear and signs of use. You will find some missing pieces and chips on some shells, but this appears to have been a deliberate design choice, as opposed to physical damage. They are in wonderful shape and ready for immediate display. less
