An original watercolor painting on paper by Harold Dearden, British artist 1888-1962, "The Mariner" scene of an oriental man leaning upon a railing with a series of boats behind him, 15 3/4" x 17 3/4", signed with initials in the lower left corner front, mid 20th century work, CA number 3887, CA purchased from a regional British auction house April 2022.
Dearden was an Associate of the Royal Cambrian Academy.
On the reverse of the work was a label: E. Wheatley, 32 Fouberts Place, London W1 (a frame maker 1953-1974).
The painting is matted with White Museum Matboard, gold line, Conservation Clear Glass, museum backing and framed with 1 1/8" original Abe Munn 22kt gold modern moulding. less
