Handwoven in wool, a very special vintage Kilim rug from Romania circa 1950-1960. The piece of art portrays an imagination ahead of its time as it features Abstract, almost Deco sensibilities, embracing neutral beige-brown to create the impression of layered patterns in a very artistic way. Possibly of Bessarabian origin, though ultimately one of the most unusual yet sophisticated pieces of its period.
