.Emilio Oscar Carpanelli was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina on February 23, 1909. He studied drawing at the Mutualidad de Estudiantes y Gradados de Bellas Artes, and there he practiced the nude for three years. In painting he trained hard in a self-taught way [3] [4] .
He also served as an illustrator for magazines and newspapers.
His paintings are figurative, traditional and colorful, with themes of Candombe and Comparsa. [3]
Carpanelli was a faithful representative of the Italian School from the mid-nineteenth to the mid-twentieth century. He was part of the Grupo La Paleta Decimal, a group of local artists from different branches of plastic arts: such as sculpture, painting, drawing, carving, engraving, criticism, and artistic journalism [3] .
He participated in the National Hall for several years and also exhibited in salons and galleries in the interior.
In 1957 he was appointed advisor to the culture commission of the Morón Club. In 1959 he was appointed jury of the National Salon of Plastic Arts. He was a painting advisor and jury at the Morón Hall and a lecturer on art on various occasions [4] .
His paintings and murals can be found in the Emilio Carpanelli Cultural Space in schools No. 2 and No. 1 of Ituzaingó [4] .
He won several awards such as: the Ministry of Labor Award at the National Hall, the Third Prize and Acquisition at the Manuel Belgrano Municipal Hall and in 1966 the Honorable Mention at the Independence Sesquicentennial Hall. Emilio Oscar Carpanelli died in Buenos Aires on November 7, 1977 [3] . less
