These are a beautiful and rare pair of 1930s (1934) needle paintings. One shows Marie Antoinette, the other Elisabeth of France. There is a most endearing note on the back of each from their creator. It's reads: "To my dear Henry needle painted by Emrita M Saccer* Date Feb 20-34"
Framed in wood and glass fronted they would be a wonderful gift for a lover of (French) history with fine taste. They would also be perfect for someone furnishing a home, who loves the craft, vibrancy, colors and history of needle paintings, needlepoint and fine art.
