This Pablo Picasso rare vintage 1955 first edition Modernist lithograph print " Still Life with Gourd " 1909, is a very special and unique piece to add to your collection.
Pablo Picasso ( 1881 - 1973 ) was a Spanish born painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, poet and playwright who spent most of his life in France. he is regarded as one of the most important and influential artists of The Twentieth Century. Exceptionally prolific throughout the course of his long life, Picasso achieved universal renown and immense fortune for his revolutionary artistic accomplishments, and became one of the most well known figures in 20th Century Art.
The color lithograph print is printed in Japan in 1955. It is a page from an authentic vintage first edition publication of Picasso lithograph prints published by Harry N. Abrams Inc, New York. It features an artwork image originally created by Picasso in 1909 titled " Still Life with Gourd ".
The lithograph print plate image is attached to the page with a method called " tipping where it is attached by hand to the page on the left side edge. The print image measures 6 7/8" W X 8 3/8" H, on a page that is 8 1/8" W X 11 5/8" H.
It is in excellent vintage condition consistent with age and light signs of handling. It has never been framed. Please see photos for condition reference. It is now being offered here for an excellent price. less
