An elegant French Art Deco 1930s silver plate cylindrical cocktail or Martini shaker by silversmith Christofle as part of their Gallia range in the "Ondulation" design created by Luc Lanel. The "Ondulation" design was created for the luxury liner SS Normandie by the designer Luc Lanel. This grand ocean liner's first-class passenger spaces were decorated in the trendiest Art Deco style and filled with luxuries; the bars filled with the nicest Art Deco cocktail shakers. Three-sectioned designed cocktail shaker with removable cap and strainer. Lovely Art Deco design with decorative bands of engraving around the base. Marked underside with legal silversmith hallmarks, "Gallia", together with the Chess O/C (Orfevrerie Christofle) mark and the Rooster mark. Also signed Prod. Christofle and France.
Comes with its original brand gift box.
