A masterpiece from the Renaissance revival period. Hand carved solid walnut hexagonal table. Gadrooned edge over a shaped skirt with shell carving. Supported by six cabriole legs with elaborate scroll work ending at turned feet. The legs are supported by an amazing radiating stretcher with scrolled and openwork carving & a large flora-form medallion in the center.
Glass top highlights the wood work underneath.
No markings.
Condition is excellent. Useful size, neither too big or too small.
Circa 1880.
