Floor lamp 'las' designed by mariana pellegrino soto in 2017. Floor lamp with three direct and indirect lights. Painted aluminium bearing structure and metal reflector. Manufactured by oluce, italy. Its modern and graphical aluminium structure and sharp lasered profile underline a careful design and analysis, developing in horizontal and vertical lines. The three lighting solutions conceal an led source and define its profile with a regular and insistent rhythm: two light sources point upwards to create diffused light, and one points downwards, which is ideal for reading. The lamp by mist-o is a sculptural presence modelled from metal paying homage to the great early twentieth-century constructions such as that portrayed in the famous photo lunch atop a skyscraper, of which las is the acronym. The emblem of an era constantly suspended towards the future. Materials and color: black painted aluminium technical information: 3 x max 18w (led) founded in 1945, oluce is the oldest italian design company in the lighting sector still in operation today. Oluce lighting design aesthetic is crisp, linear, and decorative. A subtle, intellectual beauty that over the years has led the company to produce some of the more recognizable and admired iconic lighting in the world. Oluce, already participating at the 9th triennale in milan, throughout its long history, has received numerous acknowledgements including two golden compass awards, two design awards and the gold medal at the 13th triennale in milan. Its lamps appear in the most important permanent design collections worldwide. Oluce’s expertise reveals its unparalleled manufacturing excellence which transforms into objects an untiring technological research into the potential of light. Each lamp is a milestone along this journey. Over time, from unusual materials, original designs and new lighting sources ensued revolutionary iconic designs by tito agnoli, joe colombo, marco zanuso, ostuni e forti, and vico magistretti, who since the 50s, have been rewriting the history of lighting. Recent collections reaffirm oluce design and decorative approach, expressed through the signs by italian and international designers such as angeletti & ruzza, francesco rota, nendo, victor vasilev, nicola gallizia, christophe pillet, mist-o and david lopez quincoces.
