An original watercolor painting design by Dorothie Coombes, a British artist and designed during the first two decades of the 20th century, probably a ceramic tile design dated 1915, 8 1/2" x 8 1/2", under the matting is inscribed - D. Coombes, 4.1.15 (4 January 1915), the work is matted with Antique White Museum matboard and museum backing. Unframed.
The colors are vibrant and clear and in beautiful condition.
A superb example of industrial design in the British Arts and Craft style. less
