Douglas Ferguson Pigeon Forge Pottery black and white volcanic crater glaze vase. Piece is in perfect condition, signed: "Pigeon Forge Pottery Tenn." A great example of Appalachian Mountain Modern.

The Pigeon Forge Pottery crater glazes have become one of the most sought-after glazes made by Pigeon Forge Pottery. They are often referred to as "volcanic" or "lava" glaze. The crater glaze was developed and made in several colors. The surface of vase is beautiful.

Perfect condition with no flaws, chips, cracks, crazing, etc. This vase is simply gorgeous and has been perfectly executed. Inside and outside of the vase are provided with the same black and off-white lava glaze finish.
