Description: A superb small Italian walnut and rosewood desk with matching rosewood and leather side chair, made to measure for the … more A superb small Italian walnut and rosewood desk with matching rosewood and leather side chair, made to measure for the villa of an Italian executive in 1960. The rectangular top is covered with the original red leather. The front of the hidden drawer unit is carved with images of writing tools and stationary. The craftsmanship of this piece is exceptional. The advanced modern design in combination with the remarkable carving makes this piece truly exceptional. This is a one-off piece, designed by an interior architect for a villa in the south of Italy. The interior architect also designed a very impressive display cabinet and a large boomerang desk also with a matching rosewood chair for the villa with the same distinguished characteristics.
