Description: This is an antique Russian Icon traveling tryptic of the birth of John the Baptist. It is hand painted and … more This is an antique Russian Icon traveling tryptic of the birth of John the Baptist. It is hand painted and embellished with lots of gold leaf. The panels are very old and do have areas of missing paint/gold leaf. It may be older than 18th century. The case may be gold washed silver, it tested as 800 silver with my acid kit. Magnets do not stick to it and it is bright silver under the gold color. In any case, the panels are very old. Please look over the pictures as they are part of the description.

It is 4 11/16th tall x 3 3/8" wide x 7/8" thick.
