Outdoors there has been a heavy snowstorm that has left the houses under piles of white snow. The row house architecture suggests this may be from a northern East coast city such as Baltimore or Philadelphia where this type of construction is prevalent. This piece is executed in a style consistent with the well known early 20th C. WPA movement using darker moody colors. Work is unsigned.

Framed in a wood and gesso ornamented frame that does have some loss of detail, though these spots go largely unnoticed as they blend in with the overall dark gray paint on the frame. Work alone measures 12" x 16". less
