Description: Offered is a hand detailed figure, features a gold leafed human body, head of a falcon, solar disc atop with a coiled serpent, and holds a removable staff in his left hand. The statue is made of cultured marble, raised on rectangular platform base. Base rear stamped with maker and date - 'AGI 88'.
Measures: 2.75 W x 4.5 D x 11.75 H inches.
About the deity: Ra, god of the sun, one of the most important gods in ancient Egyptian religion, identified primarily with the noon-day sun.
About the maker: In the late 20th century, at AGI gifted artisans dedicated their craft to producing superb authentic replicas of original sculptured works of the artistry of ancient Egypt. The quality of their work is thus far unsurpassed. When AGI ceased operations in the 1990s, not much time passed before the objet d'art they created became recognized as rare and collectible.
