Both pieces are hallmarked with the maker's mark for Martin Hall & Co. and are ub great overall condition. There are small dents to the body which are very hard to notice. There are no splits,
no leaks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
Both pots stand about 8.25 inches tall and measures about 7 inches from
spout to handle, or about 3 1/2 inches wide.
The spouts are the only differences, one clearly for coffee and the other with no long spout and an opening more suitable for cream, cocoa, mocha or milk
The origin of the firm is in the partnership established in 1820 in Sheffield by Henry Wilkinson and John Roberts who traded as Wilkinson & Roberts. Wilkinson left the business in 1836 and in 1846 John Roberts entered in partnership with Ebenezer Hall (his apprentice in 1836) under the style Roberts & Hall.
In 1854 entered into the partnership Richard Martin (of Martin Brothers & Naylor) and Joshua Hall (brother of Ebenezer Hall) under the style Martin, Hall & Co.
