The handmade Elgin Cabinet is no exception and features a sleek curved façade with matte brass trim at the top and bottom, and is wrapped in delicate variegated vellum (very thin leather). The brass has a hand-applied finish which contributes to its uniqueness in appearance and texture. They call the color of this vellum black, but as you can see in the photos, it is more of a dark brown espresso color. Since no two pieces of animal skin are alike, the unique finish has patches and striations of varying tone and may develop a patina with age. This piece features a maple interior and two large cabinets with adjustable shelves on either side of four drawers. Plenty of storage space.
