The inspiration for this piece is the ancient divination practice of throwing the bones and a quote from the wonderful Clarissa Pinkola Estes in her book Women Who Run With Wolves. She said ‘Be proud of your scars, they have everything to do with your strength and what you have endured. They are a treasure map to the deep self’
