A gracious 5x12 antique kilim rug from our most cherished flatweave selections, handwoven in wool circa 1920-1930.
On the Design: Believed to originate from Karapinar region of Turkey, R&K Principal Josh Nazmiyal has personally referred to this piece as liken to museum selections he’s loved over time. As bold and fabulous a drawing in rare kilims as they come, this particular piece is intentionally framed, atop a new backing beneath that appears like a solid beige border. The stunning tribal look enjoys graphic geometric patterns in rich red, beige-brown & forest green with an invigorating visual appeal for a piece so grandfathered. In good condition, perfect for the floor in lieu of a very mild distressed element inherent to this archaic beauty.
