This light fixture was the original dining room fixture in a 1932 property.
I would classify its style as Art Deco because of the urn shaped glass column and the leaf design on the glass bowl, and of course, because of the period in which it was made. I would venture to say that it is American made although there are no marks on it.
It is in very good vintage condition. The bowl has a few rougher edges on its inside edge, (photos # 10 and #11) but they aren't really evident when the fixture is on the ceiling.
The glass column doesn't have any evident chips or cracks, although if you pass your finger along the beautiful details on the "urn", there are areas where it feels a bit rough. Nothing evident to the naked eye.
It hasn't been used since removed from the property in the early 2000s, and it has been kept in storage. The wiring looks like it might be original, and as such, it must be rewired, and perhaps all or most of its metal components replaced.
It has a sensuous shape harking back to days gone by.
The glass part of the column measures 8" high
The bowl has a 13" diameter and it is 4.5" high
From the top of the glass column to the bottom of the bowl screw, it measures 12"
If using the same length as original chain, the drop will be 15"
