Created in Sweden during the last quarter of the 19th century, this painted sideboard features a rectangular top with canted corners in the front, sitting above a dentil molding. Two doors, adorned with diamond motifs in protruding frames, open to reveal inner shelves. The piece is flanked with fluted side posts topped with carved rosettes. Painted in a nicely distressed soft color typical of the Scandinavian taste for light palettes, the sideboard is raised on short tapered feet angled in the front.
