Truly a very special bit of Olde English Silverplate!
Barker Brothers Silversmiths in business in Birmingham England from 1813, produced these marvelous silverplate shell bowls in the late 19th c.

Each features an engraved heraldic crest at the handle which features two unicorns surmounting a shield which displays a band of three squares and two sheaves of wheat. Signifying Courage,Longevity and Abundance
Heavy and of good size, they are quite interesting
. Each carries the 'made in England' legend, which dates them after the 1870's, and the trefoil and stars mark of Barker.
Each measures 10" by 8" by 1.5"deep.
Old Silverplate like this is made of Sterling over Copper
They are in excellent condition,with the lovely patina of older silver.
