Armchair designed by jaime hayon 2010. Manufactured by bd in spain. When in 2006, we decided to bet on jaime hayon’s talent and successful showtime collection, he was still an emerging youngster with an artistic profile not so common at the time. He has refined this over the years. In 2009, after much success with the collection, bd introduced a new piece: lounger armchair, followed by the low lounger. The low lounger is armchair with a cast aluminium tubular base structure and a powder coated finish. Seat and backrest in plywood with surfaces in walnut nature effect, natural ash, ash stained oak and ash stained black. Decorative metal buttons coated in the same finish as the structure. Armrests, seat and backrest upholstered in different fabrics and leathers provided by bd. Optional footstool (same as lounger). Important information regarding images of products: please note that some of the images show other colors and variations of the model, these images are only to present interior design proposals. We try to edit our photos to show all of our products as life-like as possible, but please understand the actual color may vary slightly from your monitor. About the designer: born in madrid in 1974, jaime hayon can boast one of the most glittering careers to be seen in the recent history of contemporary design. Although born and trained in madrid, he was forged as a designer with fabrica, the breeding ground of creativity run by benetton near the italian city of treviso, where he arrived in 1997, when he had barely turned 24, to work under oliviero toscani, who would soon put him in charge of the design department. It was at fabrica that he first worked with bd on the mail me project. In 2004, hayon decided to branch out on his own, so he settled in barcelona and began working on a number of projects while also exhibiting his more personal work in art galleries. His exhibition entitled mediterranean digital baroque, at london’s david gill gallery, and the bathroom collection that he designed for artquitect marked the start of his meteoric international rise, which was established with the showtime collection for bd and his subsequent work with such companies as metalarte, camper, lladró, bisazza, swarovsky and moooi. Hayon currently lives and works in valencia. About the manufacturer: in 1972, a group of young architects and designers from barcelona created bd with the aim of producing and marketing furniture and other objects for our projects, with complete creative freedom and with a criterion that has turned out to be quite different from the norm at companies in the sector, regarding both the shape and function. Colors various fabrics and leathers available. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
