This Northeast Persian city piece shows a light steel blue field with an allover pattern of palmettes,large serrated volute leaves,rosette trails and various garden flowers. This antique carpet is in a very versatile size and can be either a small room size carpet or a large accent scatter. The field palette includes denim blue,cappuccino,chocolate,medium brown and sand.
The main border is in a beige tone with a widely extended smooth meander developing petal palmettes and small florets. The buff minor borders feature triple small rosettes and larger rosettes. The pile is short and there is general even wear across the rug. This carpet has been cleaned professionally. less
