They are lacquered in an off-white cream finish, and were reupholstered in the 1980's. The lacquered frames show wear, and the upholstery shows wear as well. They'd make a great upholstery project for anyone. This dining chair set of five comes with an arm chair and four dining chairs. These chairs are really high-quality with solid wood frames and construction. They're exceptionally well made, and are very comfortable. The seats have webbing so they have nice cushioning. less
