Incredibly rare and stunningly gorgeous ! They are quite rare impressively beautiful chairs and are in excellent condition for their age, and as elegant as can be! They are very comfortable , sturdy, and have a firm strong sit! These lovely rare French Arm Chairs are part of a set of four and we have two others available for the same price as this pair. The pair or even all four would make quite a striking statement in the most beautiful of rooms in the most beautiful home! They don’t actually need re upholstering or re gluing. Although would be stunning with any fabric one may choose! If they are re upholstered at that time the upholster will glue any areas making the normal age related squeaks! As mentioned the age related squeaks do not effect the strong sturdiness or great comfort of these wonderful rare Louis XVI 1800’s French Arm Chairs.

Small areas of glue which dries out over the years after a chair has a re-gluing the slight normal creaks heard softly only at the first sit in them will not be heard. We have expertly, ( in certain small areas wonderfully touched up the gold gilt. We have had our Timelessly Elegance Fine Antique & Estate Furniture business in Bellevue Washington for 33 years and we are exceptionally skilled at restoration. However, as these lovely impressive 1800’s French Arm Chairs were particularly well cared for , we decided to very professionally and discriminately touch up small areas of nicks or wear on the gold guilt frame in order to show off their gloriously spectacular beauty! Our pictures truly do not do capture the exquisite caring detail and stunning impressive look of these gorgeous outstanding 1800’s French Chairs.! We would also do additional touch ups on the backs if desired . It was our decision at this point to leave some of these natural wear areas of gold gilt ( which could be also touched up) to show the authenticity of age on these wonderful 1800’s French Arm Chairs. We have two additional of these matching arm chairs with the same lovely excellently cared for fabric. They were purchased as a set of four at the same Estate Auction . We could list the two additional on Cherish with their price being the same as the set of set of two in this listing . As we realize some buyers may not have a space for all four we only listed the two. They are from a very fine Estate home. Their material is also exquisite, extremely high quality and in extremely well cared for condition. They are gorgeously elegant and quite a special Charish find!. Their strikingly beautiful fabric may or may not be the original first fabric on the chairs. With the condition being so wonderfully clean and in excellent condition the fabric certainly does not appear to original. Although the superior quality of the material looks so superior as that of old rare fabric is and certainly the very best and finest of French Fabric to be seen even on other pieces of this age! . These Exquisite pair of French Gold Gilt Chairs were the same obviously crafted with the loving hands of a master furniture crafter! One could only begin to imagine the time, expertise, gift of art, of hand and loving heart that created their Spectacular Presence and Beauty!! The other two of the four have not yet been touched up ( however can be) in the small areas of the front of the chairs and backs as we did with the two pictured.
