Take a moment to look at the skilled and intricate work in this stunning panel - exquisitely inlaid hand crafted wall hanging or table top made in the early part of the 20th. Century.
The large and richly coloured panel portrays everyday life in a rural colonial setting. Women washing clothes and gathering water in the river, harvesting and tending to their animals - against an idyllic background of temples and palm trees.
Superb workmanship, made from solid rosewood with intricate leaf & rosette carved borders. Inlaid with numerous species of exotic woods and precious materials.
Set up on verso with hooks to allow hanging on the wall.
Could also be used as an awesome table top - top it with glass.
No markings.
Circa 1900 - 1930.
Very good condition with minor imperfections consistent with age.
