High shine lacquer, as evidenced in the … more **PLEASE NOTE: any white flecks are LINT and very prevalent against the black. High shine lacquer, as evidenced in the mirroring and reflections it catches in the photos. Glossy deep black, these LOCKING cabinets could serve many functions: nightstands, end tables, etc. while unstacked. Or stack and use as a bar cabinet, dresser...endless ideas. Gold trim and simple knobs finish these pieces. They are very heavy and substantial.

Overall in great condition. It seems the previous owners somehow used these upside down?? If you look at the last 2 pics of the top and the back, you will see about 1 inch of the back is unfinished. The "bottom", as they are displayed has a completely finished plane. That plane does have more scratches from being used as the bottom. The lacquer on any side could certainly be buffed/refinished. One small section (lower right bottom) has a very small area of veneer loss.
