This is a large, 4 gallon, salt-glazed whiskey jug that is in good vintage condition. It was made in the late 1800s/early 1900s and is free of cracks and breaks; it is water tight. There is a chip off the base/foot that is hard to see when the jug is standing. It measures approximately 18" tall x 11" diameter at the base. We love the aged look/wear and the handle. Its hard to find a brown beehive, salt glazed jug in this condition and size. There is an impressed "4" on the front and is water tight. This makes a gorgeous display piece or a vintage photo prop.
