From the Elizabeth Milliken estate: This was one of Betty's favorites til she passed at 94 years old. She bought it new and enjoyed it for 50 + years. A well-loved piece with brilliant color in hard to find chartreuse.
Betty used it as a vase, candy or trifles dish. She filled it with pine cones or shells because she loved the way natural light played through its contents.

Betty Milliken: Lively, curious,, self taught artist who experimented combining many household materials to find the perfect carve - able alternative to expensive stone cameos. She was an innovative, Alternative artist whose strange and amazing cameos and orange peel people are collected and displayed at the Grassroots Folk Arts Museum in Lucas, Kansas. less
