Purchased in Zambia in the early 80s this wonderfully simple vintage rattle is an example of creativity when there are no means. It is composed of two small gourds at opposite ends of a wooden piece. An artistically beautiful artifact, and yet functional as a rattle. It no longer rattles but can easily be made to rattle by detaching a gourd and adding some seeds. Very good rustic vintage condition.
It measures 9.5" long x 1.75" wide x 1.75" high less
