Resting on a blue-and-pink checkered tablecloth against a soft pink wall, the white handled jar at center overflows with sprigs and flowers of small herbs and other plants. Rendered with accuracy but inspired by American primitivism, Mary Faulconer's representation of the flowers is sweet and evocative of the simple countryside.
