Like Halston, Pierre Cardin, Paco Rabanne, and other designers of the mid 20th Century, Rudi Gernreich (born in Austria, 1922 - 1985) was a renowned American designer that licensed his name, and in 1978 partnered with Barth and Dreyfuss of California to produce a line of table linens and kitchen accessories in cotton and polyester blends.
