About the artist: Born in the Gràcia district of Barcelona, he devoted himself to painting and engraving (considered one of the best in his speciality of engraving with burin). He studied at the Escuela de artes y oficios de La Llotja in Barcelona and also at the Baixas Academy. He held his first exhibition in 1951, and since then he has exhibited in many individual and collective exhibitions, and after several stages, he consolidated his style of abstract figuration, in which his fresh and vital strokes recreate the current moment with great irony and eroticism, giving each work its own content. A member of the group of artists 6+1, he died at the end of 2008 leaving a great legacy of works representative of all his experiences. less
