This stand has a lovely rural look, full of charming character, that is well suited to traditional, classic style rooms as well as Farmhouse style or a cottage home.
Stand is made of walnut with a single board top cut from the heart of the tree with a cured oil finish. The vase shape & turned post leans into the heavier Empire style that was becoming fashionable between 1810 - 1820. The stylized saber legs are connected into the column with mortise and tenon joints. The swivel wood catch works well.
This table is in good condition. Wear is commensurate with age and use.
